One of the main reasons why sexual exploitation of children continues to exist is impunity: the perpetrators tend to evade prosecution. Victims often fail to report crimes, sometimes for fear of revenge, or are let down by the legal system. As a result, the perpetrators escape punishment, the victims don’t get justice, and society gets the impression that it’s possible to get away with sexual exploitation. Together with our local partner organizations, Free a Girl India is working hard to provide survivors access to justice. We encourage girls to report their cases and justify in court. We also lobby for child friendly courts and speeding up the process for victims of sexual exploitation.
The School for Justice is our programme to involve the survivors in tackling impunity.
